Darren Aspinall — a friend remembered, a son to be proud of

Fergus, this may be an emotional read, mate, but I wanted you to have this tribute to your dad. 💙 Darren was an absolute legend. A consummate professional, a fellow veteran, and someone I’m proud to have called my friend. We met on a Smartseal course in Manchester and became two peas in a pod. We always kept each other up to date with new technology, better practices and the things we learned on the job. We shared our industry secrets because we wanted to see each other do well. This can be a hard industry to work in, and Darren understood that. There is always something new to learn. He cared about doing the job properly, and I valued having a mate who shared that outlook. Here in Kinross, I’m proud to keep that RAF-and-Army connection going through my work alongside my good friend Mike, another Army veteran. Mike, I value your friendship and the pride you take in your work. Veterans looking out for one another means a great deal to me. Fergus, seeing you carry Proclean forward and make your own mark is something special. You’re doing amazing work, mate. Your dad would be so proud of you. We’ve created a dedicated page through Gutters2glory to remember Darren, celebrate your work and help people discover Proclean. It brings together genuine photographs, our friendship story and direct links to your business. Darren, you left us far too soon, but you are not forgotten. Proud to have known you. Proud to have called you my mate.
