Jamie Lessels of Fife Athletic Club won the Path of Condie Half Marathon in 1:14:04, a new male course record according to Kinross Road Runners’ final results. Laura Sanchez of Kinross Road Runners was first woman in 1:25:47. Alastair Barnes was the first KRR man home, finishing fourth overall in 1:21:21. A strong local showing on a demanding course.
The Courier reported that the RSPB has submitted proposals to improve the reserve’s children’s play area with an inclusive nature-themed trail. Ideas include accessible play equipment and sensory features, with local children helping shape the designs. These are proposals seeking permission, rather than a completed new attraction.
KLEO confirmed that the Kinross Farmers’ Market scheduled for Saturday 24 October was cancelled because of bad weather. This records the cancellation of that specific market; it does not describe a market that went ahead.
Traffic Scotland listed a southbound lane closure at Milnathort for landscape maintenance, with the work period beginning at 7:30pm on 29 October and an overnight activity window ending at 6:30am on 30 October. This is the official works schedule, rather than confirmation of delays or completion.
