Falkland Palace is home to Britain’s oldest real tennis court. James V ordered it built in late 1538, after encountering the game at the French court. This is no ordinary tennis court: players use the walls and penthouse roof, and can even score by sending the ball through openings called lunes. The National Trust for Scotland says Falkland is the world’s only real tennis court without a roof—and it is still used today. šŸŽ¾ Have you visited? Vote Yes or No below.
