Broke Not Broken · Community spotlight

Broke Not Broken began in 2013 with donated food stored in a spare room, then a garage, before its foodbank moved to The Beacon in Kinross. The charity says its later projects grew from listening to the people using its services. There are several ways to lend a hand. Its volunteer information lists food-parcel packing and deliveries, gardening, administration and sorting school uniforms. Contact volunteer@brokenotbroken.org to ask which roles currently need help and what commitment is involved. If donating supplies suits you better, check the charity’s current needs list first. It asks for in-date, non-perishable food and lists collection points at Sainsbury’s Kinross and Keystore Kinross. Anyone seeking support can contact the charity on 07518 913107 or admin@brokenotbroken.org. Food parcels are currently delivered; please contact the team rather than assuming collection is available.
