Cleish Primary School · Community spotlight

Cleish Primary’s school building dates from 1835, but its community story is still being written by local families. Serving Cleish, Blairadam, Keltybridge and Maryburgh, the school uses its playground, garden and nearby field for outdoor learning alongside classroom life. Friends of Cleish School offers a practical way to help. The school’s website says the group welcomes new helpers and ideas, and describes support ranging from school-trip transport to iPads and playground improvements. Its linked wish list includes materials for arts, gardening and sensory activities; check current needs before donating. Parents can also ask about joining the Parent Council, which welcomes new members and represents family views. For the right contact, current fundraising plans or an admission enquiry, reach the school on 01577 867244 or cleish@pkc.gov.uk. Arrange any visit with the school first.
