Greener Kinross-shire · Community spotlight

A broken household item can be a starting point for meeting neighbours and learning a useful skill. Greener Kinross-shire was established in April 2025 by the local Climate Café and Repair Café, bringing their work together under a community-led organisation. Its next Monthly Repair Café is on Saturday 14 November 2026, 10am–noon, at Loch Leven Community Campus, Muirs, Kinross. The organiser lists help with textiles, bikes, household objects and electrical items. Sharpening requires an appointment, and anyone bringing a complex electrical repair should contact the team ahead because places are limited. There is also a People’s Emergency Briefing on Friday 13 November 2026, 7–9.15pm, at Milnathort Town Hall, with a film presented by Chris Packham and discussion. The organiser welcomes different viewpoints. To ask about contributing skills, getting involved or receiving seasonal news, email info@greenerkinross-shire.org.uk.
