From a barley field to a cricket ground: discover Kinross-shire Cricket Club’s local story and how to ask about taking part.

A local cricket ground began with a helping hand. Kinross-shire Cricket Club’s own history recounts how farmer Rob Niven offered a barley field behind Loch Leven’s Larder after the club spent 2012 without a home ground. Volunteers prepared the new wicket, and cricket began there in 2013—a story of neighbours helping community sport continue.
The club’s published welcome invites new players and describes coaching and matches for men and women. If you would like to try cricket or return to the game, email secretary@kinrosscc.co.uk to discuss the right section and current opportunities. Families can ask about junior arrangements too. Confirm session times, equipment and the venue with the club before attending; its listed ground is Channel Farm, Kinross, KY13 9HD.
