About Fat Louie’s Wine Bar

Opened in June 2026 by Sarah Macintosh and David Robinson, Fat Louie’s combines a wine bar with bottles to take home. Cheese and charcuterie boards, snacks and small plates accompany its wine selection, with spirits, spritzes and alcohol-free options also reported at launch.

The name comes from the couple’s cat, Louie. Their renovated High Street venue was designed as a cosy place to meet friends, with a dog-friendly ground floor. David is a former lance corporal in the Royal Regiment of Scotland, giving this new Kinross business a confirmed veteran connection.

A wine bar named after Louie

Sarah Macintosh and David Robinson transformed the former Reminisce café into Fat Louie’s in 2026. The name comes from their cat, Louie. The Courier’s opening profile describes a ten-week refurbishment and a food offering drawing on suppliers including Abernethy’s Allan’s Chilli Products, Edinburgh’s I. J. Mellis and Perth’s Casella & Polegato.
