Glenfarg Community Transport Group · Community spotlight

A shared journey can turn an ordinary shopping trip into time with neighbours. Glenfarg Community Transport Group’s community-bus story began with fundraising for a village vehicle; its official website now describes two minibuses supporting social and recreational outings. Individuals can ask about organised trips, while local Glenfarg groups can suggest a destination and request transport through the community-bus booking form. Journeys depend on vehicle and volunteer-driver availability, so confirm arrangements with the team before making plans. There is also a practical way to help keep these outings going: enquire about becoming a volunteer driver. The group says it arranges MiDAS training and PVG disclosure, with eligibility requirements explained in its driver FAQ. It also welcomes trustee enquiries from people who use its services. For volunteering, email transport@glenfarg.org; for community-bus information, email admin@glenfargct.co.uk. The official website carries the current booking guidance and separate information about scheduled bus routes.
